Guan Yin Riding Dragon (骑龙观音)

Description

Guan Yin (Goddess of Mercy) is the Bodhisattva most associated with compassion. The name Guan Yin is short for Guanshiyin, which means “Perceiving the Sounds of the World”. She is also sometimes referred to as Guan Yin Bodhisattva. The dragon is Guan Yin’s young assistant; Dragon Lady.

The One with a Motherly Compassion, She who Hears the Cries of the People are Guan Yin’s other names. A great protector and benefactor, her heart is full of deep compassion and unconditional love. It is recommended to place a statue of Guan Yin near the front door facing the entrance, and not place the statue on the floor, in the kitchen, or facing the bathroom.

骑龙观音是观音菩萨三十三应化身之一。相传东海有一种头像龙身像龟的怪物经常危害人间。观音菩萨知道后，大发慈悲之心，决定为民除害，星夜兼程来到东海将怪物降伏，并跃上龙头怪物的背上现出宝相。于是，从此过上了太平日子的百姓便塑了一尊脚踏龙头怪物的观音菩萨像供奉起来。表示观音菩萨法力无边，乐于为民除害，保佑众生安居乐业。

摆放观音像建议有几个要点，不要摆放在窗前、卧室、角落、临近厕所、柜子底层等处。观音和佛像也不要朝向不洁的地方摆放，如不能让观音菩萨对着卫生间。此产品也适合搭配我们的高贵莲花烛台一同摆放，可将烛台放置于观音像的前方。
