Description
The Flight Into Egypt depicts Mary, Joseph and infant Jesus fleeing across the border from Jerusalem to Egypt. An angel had appeared one night and warned them that the evil King Herod was after Jesus as he saw him a threat to his throne.
This is a lovely hand-painted and handcrafted piece of the family fleeing with the aid of their faithful donkey. Joseph gazes at Mary with concern while Mary’s sole focus is on her child.
