Isis is also known as the Goddess of Embrace, using her protective wings to bring health and security in this life and the next.
Unlike the other Egyptian goddesses, the goddess Isis spent time among her people, teaching women how to grind corn and make bread, spin flax and weave cloth. Isis taught her people the skills of reading and agriculture and also was worshipped as the Goddess of medicine and wisdom.
This is a beautifully sculpted statue shaped in the form of Isis. Her arms, with colorful wings outstretched can each serve as the holder of a candle.
