Description
Anubis was the Egyptian god associated with the afterlife. His primary duty was to judge if people were worthy of entry into the afterlife by weighing their deeds and actions against the feather of truth on the Scales of Justice. His other duty was to oversee the proper rituals of mummification were followed. This is a beautifully crafted vase with a removable cover shaped as Anubis’ head.
It is a great gift for fans of ancient Egpytian art and is a depiction of one of their most sacred beliefs.
